Job Summary 

A storyteller who captures, edits, and produces video and photo content to support the mission of Fellowship of Montgomery. This role leads the effort to keep our social channels active and engaging by creating content that communicates the gospel with clarity, creativity, and excellence, strengthening both in-room ministry and digital engagement. This position challenges and equips our team to think outside the box in how we share the hope of Christ online, using creativity and innovation to reach people where they are and to encourage others in leadership to do the same.

The heart of this position is bringing stories to life through video and photos that highlight what God is doing across our church. The person in this role plans and executes content capture according to the event calendar, filming and photographing weekly ministries, church activities, and special events. They cull and edit photos for social media and the website, film vertical video content using professional camera gear, and maintain an organized digital photo library.

This position manages the volunteer photography team by scheduling and training volunteers. They develop and post weekly social content with fast turnarounds for same-day or next-day delivery, using storytelling and visual creativity to connect people to what God is doing at Fellowship of Montgomery. The person in this role stays flexible and proactive, ready to meet deadlines, adapt to feedback, and elevate each project with excellence. There will be collaboration with the Creative Director and other team members to coordinate marketing strategies and campaigns for Sundays, Wednesdays, and events.

Job Description

· Plan content capture according to the event calendar.
· Capture and edit video and photos of weekly church ministries, activities, and special events to support communication and media needs, preparing content for social media and the website.
· Film vertical video content for social media platforms, primarily using professional camera gear.
· Manage our volunteer photography team by scheduling volunteers for Sundays, Wednesdays, and events; training volunteers through our process; and obtaining SD cards from volunteers for image backup, importing, and editing.
· Maintain an organized and up-to-date digital photo library.
· Create 3–5 posts per week on main church social channels for the first three months, then evaluate engagement. Ideally, create 2 reels and 3 photo/carousel posts per week (some weeks may have more depending on events), with fast-turnaround editing for same-day or next-day delivery and posts.
· Respond to all direct messages through social channels by answering questions you know and forwarding to the right contact if you lack information.
· Create and upload new sermon thumbnails to our website each week and make ongoing updates to our social links page.
· Oversee the youth media intern, providing guidance, creative support, and training as they manage youth cameras, photo editing, posting, and reels creation.
· Oversee that all church communication is grammatically correct.
· Oversee paid advertisement through Business Suite for all social channels.
· Assist in marketing strategies and campaigns for Sundays, Wednesdays, and events.
· Continuously develop skills in church communications, photography, and videography.
· Perform all other duties assigned by the Creative Director.

Job Requirements 

· 2+ years of relevant digital experience, including video and photography.
· Be confident on camera.
· Video production & photography experience preferred
· Strong Understanding of Adobe CC Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, etc.
· High level of time management and ability to work under pressure.
· Past work that is viewable.
· A background in understanding and interpreting audience engagement.
